I am starting to come out of a funk. I think I've been in one since.. Novemberish. Winter is really hard on me, especially while trying to get over boyfriend. I've already expressed my feelings for Fall in the past. The sun is starting to shine here in Idaho again though, and I am feeling strong. I'm ready for life to change.
Now, don't get me wrong. I've had a great winter. I'm not the kind of person to ever be down for very long. (Even with seasonal depression!) I'm still the same giggly, silly, happy girl I've always been. I have the most amazing room mates this semester. I mean, I think if we were all spinsters, we could live with each other forever. They've been great examples to me. They've also been here for me so much since I've been sick a lot lately.
I'm not a sickly person at all, but it's been RIDICULOUS this semester. It started out with debilitating migraines. They were pretty infrequent at first, but then they started to get longer and more frequent. I ended up with one for nine days straight. I drug myself into the doctors, feeling humiliated and ashamed that I had to go to the doctor for a headache. I've never had a migraine before this semester, so it really worried my doctor. He was scared about brain cancer. I got an MRI and it came back that my brain was "normal." For all you that were wondering, it's official. My brain is normal. I ended up going to a chiropractor to find out that the disks I had ruptured and fixed have re-ruptured because of the stress I've been under in school. I've been working on fixing those up.
The other day I tried to pick up my computer to finish a quiz I was working on. When I bent down, my back freaked out. Like seriously, I couldn't breathe it hurt so bad. So, there I was again, back at the chiropractor. I had torn the cartilage between my ribs and my spine. (Who does that?!)
Also, I picked up the stupid winter sinus infection. It seems like I can't go a winter without it. Sure, whatever. Well, this time, it came with an ear ache. I don't think I've had an ear ache since I was like, three. I just ignored it and took my vitamins. After a few days, my face and head were really tender. I noticed I couldn't hear out of my ear anymore. I quickly found that my ear canal had swollen shut. I went to the doctors and found I had a pretty severe infection that could have spread to my bones and then to my brain. No big deal. Now I'm on drugs that one of the side effects is that my Achilles tendon could snap at any given moment. Needless to say, if you flat tire my shoe, I'll probably resort to violence. Haha! :)
Other than that, I have loved my classes! They are right up my alley! It's so nice to have my generals done and to just focus on my major. I love it. I just registered for next semester and I have another semester of bliss. Sewing, Interior Design, and a Vooocal class. What, What?? That's right. Life is so great.
